Matt - Green Ravens Horticulture

All my life I have had a deep interest and connection with nature, plants and animals. Having worked though a variety of different jobs it took coming through the other end of the pandemic to realise what my true passion in life was and so I decided to take the next step in my career towards working more closely with nature.

I am an experienced and qualified Gardener and Animal Keeper specalising in reptiles, amphibian and aquatic creatures. I have combined this experience with my love of the outdoors and plants to try to create better natural habitats for our own native animals and wildlife, providing little spaces of nature in among the city.

I am primarily focused on creating wildlife enriching habitats and garden designs that look good as well as serving a purpose for nature. I also offer an ongoing maintenance service for gardens I have designed / installed. 

I am also involved in education as a school gardener and run a gardening club and planting sessions with the aim to teach city children about the importance of nature and how to grow their own food.

Pricing and Costs

All jobs will be discussed between myself and the client free of charge. This includes one visit to assess the garden. Designs or an overview of work required will be submitted to the client and a quote will be provided upon approval. 

Garden designs are produced at a cost of £250.

Garden installation, maintenance, clearance work, and school sessions will be charged a rate of £30 per hour.

One off jobs or first appointments will require an up front deposit of 50% upon booking. Full payment will be expected upon completion of work.

Total cost of work will be discussed and agreed before work takes place.
A daily rate may be agreed upon before work commences.
